Ron Alberico III – Alberico Update
An update and an urgent request:
Update:
It has been a while since Dr. Alberico detailed his current state of health. He has asked me to catch our dear praying friends up to speed on this. His health has continued to gradually decline. The many doctors we have consulted have only been able to offer some slight symptom relief. For some years now, my husband has not felt that he could trust his mind not to have ‘brain glitches’ when writing communications, so he has asked me to check everything he writes before he sends it. Increasingly, it is now so tiring to correspond that he turns more and more of it over to me to compose for his approval. His strength and stamina continue to decrease. He cannot leave the home except for meetings, and each of those is, frankly, only possible by God’s great grace. His constant pain levels have increased and an increase in medication did not fully remedy that. Normal sounds have become increasingly painful so that he is wearing noise-cancelling headphones much of the time, including at home. He now has a constant low-grade fever. His mobility is decreasing to the point that a typical bathroom, including ours, is painful and dangerous for him to navigate. Even inside our little place, he rarely leaves his room due to pain and fatigue. We thank God for all of the assistance our children give in meeting his needs and helping to keep home and ministry running. For some years, I have not left the house and his side except for church attendance and grocery shopping. I no longer feel comfortable leaving him at home without someone with him to meet any needs and monitor his condition. These are not complaints, but rather simply our daily reality. My husband chooses the joy of the Lord and the peace of God. That shows on his face, so when he is in public many will say how good Dr. Alberico looks, but that is despite how his body feels not because of it.
Urgent request:
A full-time evangelist with no other income does not stay in the ministry for any length of time unless he is careful with finances. So that alone is an excellent indication of how well my husband, who is a disabled evangelist with no outside job and limited ability to preach meetings, has handled finances for 23 years of ministry with 14 of those years in his current state. That being said, part of how God has provided for us was through a ministry counting us as their staff evangelist and providing our housing needs since they recognized it was not possible for us to do that in our situation. As many of you know, the founder has died and the ministry has closed. The current owner of the property has put the property we live on up for sale. He has asked us to find other housing. Since our current housing door has closed, we are now in need of a similar setup. Our own searches for a suitable situation have not been fruitful. We ask that you would email us of any ministries you know that would be able to provide housing for a man of God who has proven himself faithful for more than two decades in overwhelmingly adverse circumstances. We need something that is suitable for our ministry and my husband’s needs (including wheel-chair access). If you do not know of anything, perhaps you have ministry friends you could ask who may know of something. This is a pressing need. We have not been told how long we have left here. It is urgent that we find another situation both because the property owner asked us to and because our current place is no longer safe for Dr. Alberico’s needs. In addition to what ever other information or help you can offer, we covet your prayers. God is able, and He works through His people.

Dear Pastor and Church,
I Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
We have been busy! The Baptist Bible Believers Church had its first service on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Over 2500 doors were knocked with the Gospel given out.
Signs were made, banners were displayed, hand outs were ready, the preaching was prepared, the songs were sung and we had 15 in attendance. It was an added blessing to have our pastor, Roy Webster, from Sherman, Texas with us for the first service. We also had Pastor Scott Naill and his wife and several folks from First Baptist Bible Church, Glendale, Arizona. Many churches have been such a blessing in helping this new church plant.
Please pray for our finances, We are still in need of about $500.00 a month to support this new work. Please pray for God’s power in the preaching and visitation. Please pray for more people to come to the church. We have just reprinted 2500 more brochures and yes they have the Gospel in them. Pray we will have the strength to get them out to homes in Sun City West and that souls will be saved and lives changed for the glory of God.
Sincerely,
Joseph Elwell
